Despite his Manila roots, Bob Marlon proudly identifies as a Batangueño, hailing from Banaba South in Batangas City. Bob Marlon’s journey into the world of music began in high school when he discovered his love for the art. Despite lacking a musical background in his family, he took a bold step by joining a singing contest and emerged victorious, securing the third spot. This marked the beginning of his musical exploration.
Fueling his passion, Bob Marlon immersed himself in choirs and bands, initially starting on the guitar before transitioning to bass and finally finding his niche as a keyboardist. His thirst for musical experiences drove him to participate in competitions like Battle of the Bands during his high school years.
While in college, Bob Marlon broadened his artistic skills by exploring dancing, acting, and theatre. Despite these ventures, his commitment to music remained steadfast. He sought formal training in vocal music at a school of music and later joined his inaugural band as a keyboardist in 2004.
Bob Marlon’s journey extended beyond borders, as he took his talents to South Korea from 2006 to 2010 and Thailand from 2011 to 2012. His commitment to music composition flourished, prompting a temporary hiatus from live performances.
After a well-deserved break, Bob Marlon made a pivotal move by auditioning for The Elements Music Camp. This moment proved transformative, enhancing his musical prowess and setting the stage for the next chapter of his career. Subsequently, he lent his talents to the TV5 TV Series, Wattpad Presents, where he composed music on a weekly basis.
